Atalanta Chelsea
Chelsea is in negotiations to acquire 18-year-old defender Honest Ahanor from Atalanta. The Serie A club reportedly seeks a fee of 40 million euros (ยฃ34.3 million) for the player, who has emerged as a starter with 28 Serie A appearances last season and a Champions League debut. Ahanor's versatility as a left-back aligns with Chelsea's tactical needs, especially after their recent signing of right-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta. The Blues are actively reshaping their squad under manager Xabi Alonso, who has already made significant investments, including a club-record signing of midfielder Morgan Rogers for ยฃ117 million. This potential acquisition of Ahanor could further strengthen Chelsea's defense as they aim for a more competitive season.
